The ministry of Jesus Christ should reach beyond our walls. We believe in going into the world and being the hands and feet of Christ. We believe it is our job to love God and love people and this is demonstrated through service.

Missionary Support for the Brendle Family
Kelsey grew up in Heber Springs and was part of our youth programs in high school. Kelsey and Nathan met while attending the Bible Institute. They were married after their first year of Bible School and continued on through the next three years of training with Ethnos360. During that time, the Lord blessed their family by adding two sweet additions to their ministry team in their children, Simeon and Sienna.
The Brendle family is serving in Papua New Guinea. Their desire is to be a church planter and to establish a mature church among an unreached people group in Papua New Guinea. This mature church would ideally consist of a body of believers with functioning leadership that is dependent upon God’s Word, has a strong identity with Christ, is living in unity as believers, and is continuing to disciple while reaching other groups with the Gospel.
Papua New Guinea has over 800 distinct languages and is the most linguistically diverse country in the world. Because of this diversity, there are still many people who haven’t had a chance to hear and understand the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.
Peru Missions
Viña Del Rey (Vineyard of the King) is located in Chincha, Peru and began in 1987 after Pastor Gerardo Guzman and his wife Persia quit their jobs and started a daycare program for children in their neighborhood. Because the children’s parents had to work, often they were left at home alone. Soon the daycare program turned into an elementary school and then a high school. Now there are three nationally accredited schools for first through twelfth grade students and four main churches associated with Viña Del Rey, along with numerous satellite churches and neighborhood bible studies. A couple of Pastor Gerardo’s children also began Cup of Milk Ministry, which provides weekly meals to children who might not have steady access to three meals a day.
In June 2016, we began a ministry partnership with Pastor Wayne Williams in Waco, Texas. Pastor William’s connection with Peru began in 2000 when he spoke at a conference in Lima, Peru and met Pastor Gerardo Guzman. Wayne returned the next year with a group from his church in Kentucky. He has been returning to Peru yearly since that time.
Short-term mission trips are held twice a year – January and June and offer assistance and aid through various ministries. These ministries include Medical Clinics, Dental Clinics, Optical Clinics, Construction Teams as well as English Language instruction.
Rice and Beans Ministry
Rice and Beans Ministries seeks to build relationships, support families and communities, and care for those in need in Costa Rica. We do this through five primary ministries: Food Ministry, Children’s Ministry, Construction Ministry, Garden of Hope, and Go Live Love Gifts. All these ministries go hand-in- hand to support each other.
Our church has served in Costa Rica through the RABMIN for several years. Short term mission trips are held once during the summer months. Donations are taken yearly for Go Live Love gift bags.
Our shared vision is to meet people where they are, sharing the love of Christ and giving them hope that does not disappoint. We accomplish this through building
relationships within our communities. There are countless opportunities to make a difference in someone’s life, from providing tomato plants for a sustainable food source or paper and pencils for school. It is up to you to choose your journey.
Local Outreach
Project Crosswalk is our church ministry initiative to foster growth and improvement in the Heber Springs School District. We love our neighbors across the street as we pour into the lives of the students, staff, and families of Heber Springs School.
Different ministry opportunities include the Shoe Project, the Coat Project, feeding sports teams before games, working the concession stand, working open house, helping with health screenings, etc.
This is a ministry of relationships by being present, being a friend, being faithful, and being a servant. This ministry provides food, fellowship, and an evening of worship and prayer. Spring Park Worship takes place at Spring Park every Thursday evening from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
This ministry provides a safe haven for men who have struggled
with substance abuse and addiction who want to forge a relationship with God
through redemptive work found alone in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. They show unconditional love through feeding, housing, and providing hours of Bible study.
This ministry was established to exhort, equip, and assist the church in its ministry to inmates, ex-offenders, their families, and those in the prison of addiction.
This ministry provides services and programs for older adults of Cleburne County that promote their well-being, support their independence, and encourages their involvement in an active life style.
The CALL is mobilizing the church to love children in foster care with the extravagant love of Christ. The following are a few of the ways our church helps our foster families: pray, become monthly donors, fulfill one-time purchase requests, prepare meals, and babysit. Our church also hosts an informational meeting once a year.
Breakin’ Bread is a non-profit, interdenominational ministry feeding the hungry and providing a variety of services to those in need. Cook and serving teams serve once a month providing meals and building relationships.
This ministry reaches kids in our community – especially the kids that won’t darken the door of a church. Heber Springs YoungLife answers the call and meets the kids on their turf – right where they are in their lives and seeks to start a relationship with them to one day introduce them to what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. YoungLife is for high school kids and WyldLife is for middle school kids.
